Brazilian Jiu Jitsu

BJJ (Brazilian Jiu Jitsu) is one of our specialties here at WIJJ. Classes are divided into Warm-ups, Drills, Techniques and Rolling. We teach both beginner and advanced techniques. WIJJ offers a safe environment where you can train hard all while having fun. With Jiu Jitsu, you will learn to defend yourself while using only a minimum amount of force. That is why everyone is welcome, regardless of previous skill.

Montreal’s ONLY self-defence program taught by a woman and developed especially for women. PowHer-Power to Her empowers women to take their safety into their own hands. Using the techniques of Brazilian Jiu Jitsu, women learn to take back their control in dangerous situations. BJJ for Kids

Every child should know how to defend themselves, and what better martial art can your child learn than Jiu Jitsu? Children will learn to protect themselves in a safe way. They will learn discipline and control. Our goal is to teach children how to overcome bullying without getting injured and to feel confident in their abilities. In this class, children will have fun all while learning self-defence. 

Kickboxing-Muay Thai

Kickboxing is a martial art that uses striking along with clinching techniques. Students will get a great workout while learning to defend themselves. Muay Thai is a very powerful martial art which is why the coaches are very hands-on during the class. At WIJJ we train hard and we train smart!
